Complete 7 lanes that test physical and mental strength and agility
Conduct a 2.5 mile Buddy Run

ISU/BVU/Drake participants will have given their all to the competition, and place well within the teams.

During the Buddy Ranger Challenge, cadets competed in a series of physically and mentally difficult tasks, stretching them to their limits. Due to our extensive training, Iowa State once again held up against the other schools in the Brigade in competition. We also established a strong group of underclassmen to be the foundation of our future BRC teams at all three Universities. The success of Buena Vista University is great for the Cyclone Battalion and says great things about the future of Army ROTC at BVU!

Cyclone Battalion sent down seven teams to the University of Kansas for the Buddy Ranger Challenge on March 31st, 2012. The event included a nine mile road march, seven challenging lanes that tested physical and mental ability, and a 2.5 mile buddy run. Each lane reflected tasks from some of the Army’s greatest conflicts and battles. Our best team came from Buena Vista University, as CDTs Oberg and Hanson placed 3rd overall in the Coed Division. Most of our teams placed in the top 50% of all competing pairs. Overall, Cyclone Battalion placed 5th in total team score.
