Senior Nolan Sampson has been named the Iowa Conference Men’s Track and Field (Field) Performer of the Week for the period ending March 30.
Sampson earned his first career title by winning the high jump on Saturday during the Viking Olympics, hosted by Augustana College (Ill.). It was the team’s first outdoor competition of the season. He cleared 6′ 9.75″ to post a new career-best and is currently in a three-way tie for the best mark in all of Division III.
He and the rest of the Beavers will look to continue their outdoor schedule this upcoming Friday and Saturday by taking part in the Wartburg College Select in Waverly beginning at 2:00pm.
